I BELIEVE...

I believe in one God, maker of Heaven and Earth, Creator of all things.
Deu 5:7 You shall have no other gods besides Me.
I believe in Father, The Word (who became Jesus) and Holy Spirit, being all parts of the one God
1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one.
I believe that the Father has authority over the Son (the Word).
Joh 5:19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son can do nothing of Himself but what He sees the Father do. For whatever things He does, these also the Son does likewise.
And the Son is greater than the Spirit.
Joh 15:26 And when the Comforter has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He shall testify of Me.
I firmly believe that the logos (Word) is Jesus Christ, not the Scriptures.
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word (logos), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with God.
I believe that ALL Scripture was given by God.
2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
I believe that salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone.
1Th 5:9 For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
I believe in the need to be Born Again.
Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Pe 1:23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the living Word of God (Jesus), and abiding forever.
1Pe 1:24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of men as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls out,
1Pe 1:25 but the Word of the Lord (Jesus) endures forever. And this is the Word preached as gospel to you.
I believe in the believer's baptism (believe, and then be baptised)
Act 22:16 And now what do you intend? Arise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
And the baptizm of the Holy Spirit Act 2:38 Then Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ to remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
I believe in the fruit of the Holy Spirit
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Also in the ministries and gifts of the Holy Spirit
1Co 12:28 And God set some in the church, firstly, apostles; secondly, prophets; thirdly, teachers, then works of power, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, kinds of languages.
I believe that the Bible is a dependable book, given by God. 2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
2Ti 3:17 that the man of God may be perfected, thoroughly furnished to every good work.
I believe in eternal life for those who choose to follow Christ.
1Th 5:9 For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Joh 1:12 But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name,

Joh 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.
Joh 3:18 He who believes on Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil.
I believe that those who reject Christ will face detruction in Hell.
Mat 10:28 And do not fear those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. But rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
I believe in a personal, experiential relationship with God
Joh 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. For He shall not speak of Himself, but whatever He hears, He shall speak. And He will announce to you things to come.
I believe in the need to gather together in Jesus name for mutual benefit.
1Co 14:26 Then how is it, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be for building up.
I believe it is the responsibility of parents to be a covering for their young, and this done through their belief in Christ.
1Co 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; else your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.
